延續我創作中關於飛行與轉動的持續探索，我以「竹蜻蜓」作為此系列作品的圖像象徵。竹蜻蜓飛行的物理機制——藉由葉片旋轉推動氣流向下，產生反作用力使自身上升，直至能量耗盡——成為我探討方向性、對抗與平衡之間力學關係的出發點。這樣一種以對立力量達成上升的意象，回應了《且輕且重》系列所關注的主題：一種來自個體內在的努力與張力，以及在失衡與穩定之間的微妙調節。

此系列共由八張130x130公分的正方形畫布組成。正方形的無方向性消解了傳統構圖中的主從關係，使每一幅畫面不僅是獨立的色塊，也同時為整體畫面的有機部分。與前作《連結》系列中嚴謹而完整的構圖不同，《且輕且重》刻意破除單一畫面的自足性，透過色彩分佈與形構比例的重新安排，使畫面趨於「不完整」。

個別畫布之間產生呼應與張力，彼此間的對話構築出一個具有流動感的詩意空間。當八幅作品並置展出時，它們在視覺與意義上共同完成了一個新的整體，也象徵著內在狀態的調和與不斷變動的平衡。

Lightness and Heaviness

Continuing my ongoing exploration of flight and rotation, this series employs the bamboo-copter as a symbolic image. Its flight mechanism—where rotating blades push air downward, generating an opposing force that propels it upward until its energy dissipates—serves as a metaphor for the dynamics of directionality, resistance, and equilibrium. This principle of ascent through counterforce resonates with the central theme of Light and Heavy: the internal effort of the self, and the subtle negotiation between imbalance and stability.

The series consists of eight square canvases, each measuring 130 x 130 cm. The non-directional nature of the square format dissolves the traditional hierarchy of visual composition, allowing each canvas to function both as an autonomous color field and as a fragment of a larger, organic whole. In contrast to the highly structured and complete compositions in my previous Connection series, Light and Heavy intentionally disrupts visual wholeness. Through reconfiguring the distribution of color and form, the paintings are rendered intentionally “incomplete.”

Between the canvases, a sense of dialogue and tension emerges. These interactions generate a poetic spatial rhythm—fluid and open-ended. When exhibited together, the eight paintings reassemble into a newly unified visual and conceptual field, embodying an ongoing search for inner harmony and the shifting balance between effort, gravity, and grace.
